Nanodevices Research Group

The Nanodevices Research Group is an interdisciplinary team developing advanced optics for structured light applications. Its core optical technologies are metalenses, nanostructured devices which offer unprecedented control over the degrees of freedom of light. The team carries out the entire development process, from simulation and characterization of meta-atoms, simulation and characterization of optics and nanofabrication of devices. Currently, the research effort is focused on telecommunication, both in fiber and free-space, quantum technologies and structured light.

It is based at the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy (DFA) of Padua University, and at the CNR-IOM in Basovizza (Trieste).

Besides its R&D activities, the Nanodevices Research Group offers the opportunity to take advantage of the scientific know-how and technical expertise of its research team by offering high technology services for the development of prototypes of innovative products.
