NANODEVICES GROUP

FOR PHOTONICS AND BIOLOGY

Mission

The overall goal of the Nanodevices Group for Photonics and Biology is the development of nanostructures to be integrated in micro- and nano-devices for applications in the fields of biology, telecommunications and materials science.

The Nanodevices Group is an interdisciplinary environment where people from Physics and Materials Science converge.
We are based at the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy (DFA) of the University of Padova, where we are part of the macroarea “Physics of Condensed Matter”.

We are also located at the Advanced Technology and Nanoscience - Istituto Officina dei Materiali (TASC-IOM) national laboratory of the National Research Council (CNR) in Trieste, at the Institute of Pediatric Research – Città della Speranza c/o the CRN research area in Padova, and at the Venetian Institute of Molecular Medicine (VIMM) in Padova.
